E.R. Recommends: Putting your WordPress Site in “Maintenance” Mode

If you are moving around some elements on your website or blog, in the process of a full site redesign or perhaps want to tinker with the layout or other formatting, you may prefer that your “in process” changes aren’t visible to the rest of the world.

WordPress makes it easy – via plugins – to temporarily place your site in “maintenance mode” during those changes.

Amy of Blogging with Amy put together a great tutorial and video about how to use the WP Maintenance Mode plugin.
