Why You Need an iPhone App

Almost everyone has a Smart Phone these days. With it, you have the ability to do almost anything: check the weather, buy that purse from eBay and google that new restaurant you have been wanting to check out.

When you’re a small business or a blogger you are always wanting to reach more customers, more readers. What better way to reach them than having a unique and direct way.

Here are five reasons you should have an iPhone app for your blog or business:

1. You’re always visible on their iPhone.

Each time someone swipes through their screen to look at different apps your logo will catch their eye. They might not open your app daily but you are always there for them.

2. User Convenience.

With an iPhone app you can create a storefront enabling your customers to browse and purchase anywhere. With bloggers, if your website is not mobile enabled then this will allow readers to read your blog easily, anytime, anywhere.

3. All in one place.

With an app for your blog or store you can make it the one place to go where you can access content, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, You Tube feeds and more. You can also add a storefront or Etsy shop to your blog. You can also have the option to have readers share their favorite stories and products easily to Facebook and Twitter.

Another great thing you could do is offer app only specials or giveaways to entice your customer/reader to download and use.

4. Reach new users.

When you submit your app into the Apple app store you can apply several keywords to your app and also enter into different catagories. Your app might catch the eye of someone browsing the Lifestyle section. Many times the more downloads of your app you are more likely to be put into categories like “New and Noteworthy”. There are more than 100 million iPhone users. Think of the people you can reach and bring something unique to the market.

5. It’s just cool.

How cool is it to say you have an iPhone app?

Whip your phone out to show friends and family, display the “Available on the iTunes store” proudly on your blog!

See, I was going to make an iPhone app. But then I remembered I have no technical know-how whatsoever. So instead I took at nap.

    Still, I do feel rested.

I’d want an iphone app with some awesome game on it, too. Like half blog, half celebrity gossip app, half game. Wait, that’s 3 halves. ;)Great list!
