LinkedIn company page admins are enjoying a new look, sleeker design and improved features on their company pages. Most notably is the new “cover photo”. Reminiscent of Facebook’s fan page cover photo, you can now upload an image to use as the header of your company’s page, in addition to your existing branded logo.
To add an image, either select the “Upload an image now” link in the horizontal orange stripe or click the blue “Edit” button on the right side of the screen.
You will then be redirected to the Edit mode for your Company page. Scroll about halfway down to upload the “cover” image. Navigate to the photo you’d like to use, upload it, adjust the crop of your image as needed and then click “Publish” when satisfied.
Note: Your image can be a PNG, JPEG, or GIF, with a max size of 2 MB. Images can then be cropped to a 646×220 pixels size.
LinkedIn now allows company page admins to “feature” an update, which moves that update to the top of the page. This is helpful if you have an important announcement, upcoming event, position to fill or new product or service you’d like to highlight. Simply click on the “Feature this update” link underneath the update.
Your company’s available positions and product or services are highlighted on the right sidebar of your company page, making them much more visible to your visitors.
LinkedIn has proven to be a very powerful platform for lead generation. These recent improvements have freshened up the look and improved the functionality of one of the most popular social platforms around.
How often do you post to your LinkedIn company page?
